Tata Motors signs MOU with Delta Electronics and Thunderplus Solutions to establish 250 fast-charging stations

Tata Motors has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Delta Electronics and Thunderplus Solutions to establish 250 fast-charging stations.

These stations will be strategically located in and around 50 cities, including major hubs like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Pune, and Kochi. This expansion will boost the existing network of 540 commercial vehicle charging points, supporting the growing adoption of electric commercial vehicles (EVs) for last-mile deliveries by e-commerce companies and parcel & courier service providers.

Tata Motors will identify optimal locations for these fast-charging stations based on its understanding of commercial EV movement, recommending nearby dealerships for installation. Delta Electronics will provide the necessary hardware, while Thunderplus Solutions will handle the installation and operation of the charging stations.

Speaking about this collaboration, Mr. Vinay Pathak, Vice President & Business Head – SCV&PU, Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles, said (via press release),

Installing fast chargers at our dealerships makes it convenient for them to gain access at a familiar location with reliable charging facility.”
