Shyam Metalics reports mixed November sales: Stainless steel up 51% YoY, sponge iron down 6% YoY

Shyam Metalics has released its consolidated sales performance for November 2024, showing a mixed trend across its product categories:

  • Stainless Steel: Sales volume increased by 51% YoY but declined by 7% MoM. Realizations improved by 6% YoY but dropped 9% MoM.
  • Carbon Steel: Sales volume rose 15% YoY but was nearly flat with a 0.06% MoM decline. Realizations fell 6% YoY and 2% MoM.
  • Sponge Iron: Sales volume and realizations decreased by 6% YoY, with an 18% MoM volume decline and a 5% drop in realizations.
  • Aluminum Foil: Sales saw a 30% YoY increase and a similar 30% MoM growth, with realizations up 10% YoY and 3% MoM.
  • Specialty Alloys: Sales volume grew by 43% YoY but fell 8% MoM. Realizations dropped by 3% YoY and 6% MoM.
  • Pellets: Sales volumes declined sharply by 48% YoY and 30% MoM, while realizations edged up 1% YoY and 5% MoM.
  • CR Coil/CR Sheets: Sales volumes surged by 70% MoM, with realizations up 7% over the same period.
