
Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has secured a significant infrastructure project from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The company announced on March 20, 2025, that it has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) for the construction of a six-lane access-controlled road connecting Visakhapatnam Port Road from Sabbavaram bypass to Sheelanagar junction in Andhra Pradesh.
The contract, awarded under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM), is part of National Highway 516C and falls under the National Highway (O) initiative. The project is valued at ₹554.65 crore (exclusive of GST) and is expected to be completed within 730 days.
According to RVNL’s regulatory filing, this contract has been awarded in the normal course of business and does not fall under related party transactions. The company has confirmed that its promoters or group companies have no vested interest in the awarding entity.
This project further strengthens RVNL’s footprint in the road infrastructure segment, complementing its core operations under the Ministry of Railways.
