Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has been awarded a significant contract worth Rs 303.76 crore by South Western Railway, marking a major milestone in the company’s efforts to contribute to the modernization of Indian rail infrastructure. The contract involves comprehensive work on the KAVACH automatic train protection system.
This project includes the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the KAVACH system along with necessary signaling and telecommunication upgrades. The KAVACH system, a crucial component of ensuring train safety, aims to minimize accidents caused by human error by enabling automatic train stoppages when required.
