RITES secures Rs 80.59 crores engineering contract for Guyana Highway Project

RITES Limited, an Indian engineering and consultancy firm, has been declared the top scorer (H-1 bidder) for the $9.71 million contract to provide engineering services for the “Design-Build-Finance: Upgrading of the Palmyra to Moleson Creek Highway (Lots 1-3)” in Guyana. The contract, awarded by the Ministry of Public Works, Government of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, is a significant step in RITES’ continued global expansion.

The project encompasses vital engineering services for upgrading the Palmyra to Moleson Creek Highway, aimed at enhancing regional connectivity and infrastructure in Guyana. The total duration of the project is 60 months, including 36 months for the pre-construction and construction phases and 24 months for post-construction defect liability.

The contract value stands at $9,713,470 (excluding taxes). RITES was selected through the Quality and Cost-Based Selection (QCBS) evaluation process, and the official Letter of Acceptance will be issued upon final review by the Ministry of Public Works.
