Entity Awarding the Contract
Neyveli Uttar Pradesh Power Limited (NUPPL), a joint venture between Neyveli Lignite Corporation India Limited (NLCIL) (a Government of India Enterprise) and Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (UPRVUNL) (a Government of Uttar Pradesh Enterprise), has awarded the contract to RITES.
Nature of the Contract
The agreement focuses on the Comprehensive Operation & Maintenance of NUPPL/GTPP Railway Siding, ensuring smooth railway logistics for coal and other freight operations essential for power generation.
Domestic Contract
The contract has been awarded by a domestic entity and will be executed entirely within India, reinforcing RITES’ strong foothold in national railway infrastructure projects.
Project Duration
The operation and maintenance services under this MoU will be carried out for a period of five years, ensuring sustained efficiency and reliability in railway siding operations.
Project Value
The total consideration for this contract stands at Rs. 120.13 Crores (excluding GST and Escalation).
