Global aviation software provider Ramco Systems has announced that it will deploy its next-generation aviation software at the upcoming Defence Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility of Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL).
The new facility will focus on maintenance operations for the Lockheed Martin C‑130J Super Hercules aircraft operated by the Indian Air Force. The project marks a significant step in TASL’s efforts to build a modern and technology-driven defence MRO ecosystem in India.
Under the agreement, Ramco will implement its integrated Aviation MRO platform across TASL’s operations. The platform will support multiple mission-critical processes, including contract and quote management, maintenance planning, hangar and component maintenance, supply chain management, engineering and quality control, as well as customer billing.
The solution will also include Ramco’s advanced digital tools such as its Anywhere mobile applications, E-Publications, Digital Task Cards, and resource planning and optimization systems. These technologies are designed to enable real-time access to operational data across the shop floor while ensuring seamless coordination between different operational functions.
The deployment aligns with TASL’s broader strategy to create a fully digital shopfloor environment for defence aviation maintenance. The organisation aims to adopt end-to-end digital processing of customer work packages, supported by integrated OEM documentation management and modern mobile applications. Ramco’s platform will interface with TASL’s existing ERP system, helping streamline data flow across operational and administrative processes.
By implementing Ramco’s aviation software, TASL is expected to enhance operational visibility, standardise workflows, and improve overall execution efficiency at the facility. The unified digital system will also help optimise the utilisation of manpower, materials, and tools across maintenance operations.
