
Pudumjee Paper Products Limited has announced a significant development in its expansion plans. The company has received Consent to Establish for its proposed specialty paper manufacturing facility at Mahad from the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board.
The new unit aims to bolster the company’s production capabilities by adding a capacity of 68,000 metric tonnes (MT) per annum. This expansion comes in addition to its existing Pune facility, which operates at an annual capacity of 75,000 MT with a utilization rate of approximately 86%.
The proposed facility at Mahad involves an estimated investment of ₹1,350.09 crore and is slated to be operational within five years. Details regarding the mode of financing for the project will be finalized in due course.
This strategic move aligns with Pudumjee Paper Products’ vision to cater to the increasing demand for specialty paper grades and strengthen its position in the market.
