Power & Instrumentation (Gujarat) secures Rs 68.22 crore order from Ajmer Discom under RDSS scheme

Power & Instrumentation (Gujarat) Limited (PIGL) has announced that it has received a work order worth Rs 68.22 crore (including taxes) from Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (AVVNL) for the development of power distribution infrastructure in Rajasthan under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).

According to the company’s filing, the contract involves the supply, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment for segregation of 11 KV mixed feeders at the Dungarpur Circle of Ajmer Discom, to be executed on a turnkey basis within 15 months.

This follows PIGL’s earlier success in August 2025, when it secured a Rs 70.55 crore contract from the same client. The repeat order underscores AVVNL’s confidence in PIGL’s execution capabilities and project reliability across complex geographies.

Commenting on the development, Padmaraj Padmnabhan Pillai, Managing Director of Power & Instrumentation (Gujarat) Limited, said, “This is the second major order we have received from Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited under the RDSS scheme within a short span of time, which is a strong validation of PIGL’s execution strength and reliability.”

Founded in 1975, the Ahmedabad-based firm has completed over 35 airport projects, electrified 1 lakh+ BPL households, and laid 20,000 km of HT & LT lines. For FY25, the company reported a total income of Rs 171.28 crore, EBITDA of Rs 19.59 crore, and net profit of Rs 11.75 crore.
