
Power Grid Corporation of India has recently informed exchanges that its wholly owned subsidiary, POWERGRID Sikar Transmission Limited, has successfully commissioned its transmission project under the “Transmission System Strengthening Scheme for Evacuation of Power from Solar Energy Zones in Rajasthan (8.1 GW) under Phase-II Part-C.”
This milestone was achieved through Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding, with the project becoming fully operational on December 19, 2024. The Notification for Commercial Operation (DOCO) was officially received on January 22, 2025.
In the exchange filing, the company shared, “POWERGRID Sikar Transmission Limited (a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.) secured through Tariff Based Competitive Bidding with a mandate for implementation of “Transmission system strengthening scheme for evacuation of power from solar energy zones in Rajasthan (8.1 GW) under Phase-II Part-C” has been completely commissioned with effect from 19th December, 2024 for which Notification for Commercial Operation (DOCO) has been received on 22nd January, 2025.”
