Power Grid acquires Kurnool III PS RE Transmission Limited for Rs 19.04 crore under TBCB route

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has announced the successful acquisition of Kurnool III PS RE Transmission Limited (KPRTL) under the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) route. The acquisition was finalized on March 27, 2025, with a total consideration of Rs 19.04 crore, which includes 10,000 equity shares at par value along with associated assets and liabilities. The final amount may be adjusted post audit.

The project, based entirely in Andhra Pradesh, aims to establish the “Transmission System Strengthening at Kurnool-III PS for Integration of Additional RE Generation Projects” on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis.
