Paradeep Phosphates Limited (PPL) has officially merged with Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Limited (MCFL) as of 16th October 2025. This move makes PPL one of the largest private-sector fertilizer producers in India, combining the strengths of both companies into a single, unified entity.

With this merger, PPL’s total fertilizer production capacity has jumped by over 23%, rising from 3 million to 3.7 million metric tonnes per year. It also significantly boosts PPL’s footprint in southern India while complementing its strong presence across northern, western, central, and eastern regions. In short, PPL now truly has a pan-India reach.

The combined company will offer a wider range of crop-specific fertilizers and benefit from a more efficient supply chain. By bringing together the resources and expertise of both PPL and MCFL, the company can better plan inventory, optimize distribution, and serve farmers through an extensive network of dealers and partners. The integration also allows for economies of scale in production and logistics, reducing costs and improving service quality for customers across the country.

Built on the shared belief of “Farmer First,” this merger reinforces PPL’s commitment to supporting Indian agriculture, helping ensure that every step of growth delivers real value to farmers.
