NMDC Ltd has reported its provisional iron ore production and sales figures for January 2025. The company’s total iron ore production for the month of January 2025 was 5.10 million tonnes (MT), an increase from 4.54 MT produced in January 2024. Similarly, sales for January 2025 stood at 4.48 MT, slightly down from 4.56 MT in the same period last year.

In Chhattisgarh, NMDC produced 3.66 MT of iron ore in January 2025, a notable rise from the 3.26 MT in January 2024. However, sales in this sector decreased to 2.93 MT from 3.06 MT year-on-year. Cumulative production in Chhattisgarh up to January 2025 reached 24.13 MT, while sales stood at 25.30 MT, slightly higher than the previous year’s cumulative sales of 25.21 MT.
In Karnataka, the company produced 1.44 MT of iron ore in January 2025, up from 1.28 MT in January 2024, while sales increased to 1.55 MT from 1.50 MT year-on-year. Cumulative production in Karnataka stood at 11.74 MT, with sales at 10.92 MT, slightly lower than the 11.28 MT in sales recorded up to January 2024.
