NHPC Limited announced the successful commissioning and full commercial operation of its 300 MW Karnisar Solar Project located in Bikaner, Rajasthan. This follows the completion of the fifth and final phase of the project’s part capacity, totaling 85.72 MW, for which the Certificate of Successful Trial Run was received on October 10, 2025.
Subsequently, the project obtained regulatory approval from the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PSERC) on October 16, 2025. With these approvals, NHPC has declared the Commercial Operation Date (COD) for the entire 300 MW capacity of the Karnisar Solar Plant.
The successful commissioning of the Karnisar Solar Project represents a significant milestone in NHPC’s renewable energy portfolio, underlining the company’s commitment to sustainable and clean energy development.
