Mankind Pharma Limited has taken a significant step to strengthen its presence in the women’s healthcare segment by acquiring the Branded Generic Business of its wholly-owned subsidiary, Bharat Serums and Vaccines Limited (BSV). The acquisition, executed through a Business Transfer Agreement (BTA) on October 10, 2025, involves the Women Health Rx Portfolio and is structured as a slump sale for a total consideration of ₹797 Crores, subject to closing adjustments.
As per the agreement, 50% of the sale consideration will be paid on the closing date, with the balance payable within 150 days. The transaction is subject to pre-conditions, closing actions, and other terms outlined in the BTA, ensuring a smooth and compliant transfer of business.
This strategic acquisition is expected to enhance Mankind Pharma’s product portfolio in the growing women’s healthcare market and boost its branded generics offerings. By integrating the Women Health Rx Portfolio, the company aims to leverage its distribution network and strengthen market share in the segment.
