Mahindra & Mahindra on Friday, January 9, 2026, informed stock exchanges about a change in its senior management personnel, in line with the company’s succession plan.
In a regulatory filing under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, the company said that Ruzbeh Irani, President – Group Human Resources, will retire from the company with effect from the close of business hours on April 1, 2026, upon attaining the age of superannuation .
Following his retirement, Rohit Thakur will be appointed as the Group Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and will form part of the senior management personnel, with effect from April 2, 2026, the company said .
Mahindra & Mahindra stated that Irani has been associated with the company for over 19 years and has served as President – Group Human Resources and a member of the Mahindra Group Executive Board during his tenure.
As per the filing, Rohit Thakur is currently the CHRO for the Auto and Farm Sector at Mahindra. His prior experience includes senior HR leadership roles at Accenture India, Microsoft India, and GE, along with HR leadership roles at startups including LEAD School and Paytm. He holds a commerce degree from SRCC, Delhi, and an MBA in Human Resources from XLRI, Jamshedpur .
The company clarified that Rohit Thakur is not related to any director of Mahindra & Mahindra. The disclosure has also been uploaded on the company’s website for investor reference.
