JSW Neo Energy to acquire 125 MW wind energy capacity from Hetero Group for ₹630 crore

JSW Neo Energy Limited, a subsidiary of JSW Energy, has entered into definitive agreements to acquire three special purpose vehicles (SPVs) from the Hetero Group, which hold a total wind energy capacity of 125 MW. The acquisition, valued at ₹630 crore, is subject to customary approvals and is expected to be completed within the next 90 days.

The transaction involves the acquisition of 100% shares of Hetero Wind Power (Pennar) Private Limited and Hetero Med Solutions Limited, along with approximately 74% shares of Hetero Wind Power Limited, where the captive consumer will continue to hold 26%. These assets, located primarily in Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra, are operational and have long-term power purchase agreements in place.

This acquisition aligns with JSW Energy’s strategy of achieving a target capacity of 10 GW by FY 2025, and 20 GW by 2030. The acquisition will boost the company’s renewable energy portfolio and help it move closer to its ambitious growth objectives.
