Info Edge (India) Limited has announced that its Committee of Executive Directors has approved an investment of Rs. 50 crores in its wholly owned subsidiary, Startup Investments (Holding) Limited (SIHL). This investment will be made through the acquisition of 2,329,916 Compulsorily Convertible Debentures (CCDs) at an issue price of Rs. 214.6 per CCD.
SIHL, established in 2015, is focused on making direct or indirect investments in technology companies. The fresh funds will help SIHL explore new investment opportunities, including contributions to Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs). The transaction is expected to be completed within 30 days, and after the investment, SIHL will remain a wholly owned subsidiary of Info Edge.
The move aligns with Info Edge’s strategic focus on expanding its investment portfolio and supporting technology ventures.
