Hariom Pipe incorporates wholly owned subsidiary ‘Hariom Power and Energy’ to foray into renewable energy

Hariom Pipe Industries Ltd. has announced the incorporation of its wholly owned subsidiary, Hariom Power and Energy Private Limited (HPEPL), as part of its strategic expansion into the renewable energy sector. The new entity was officially incorporated on March 19, 2025, and the certificate of incorporation has been issued by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

With an authorised share capital of Rs 10 lakh, HPEPL is set to begin operations in the renewable energy domain. The entire shareholding of the new subsidiary will be held by Hariom Pipe, marking it as a related party under regulatory guidelines. The incorporation is aligned with the company’s long-term goal of diversifying its business footprint beyond its core steel and pipe manufacturing verticals.

As per the regulatory disclosure, Hariom Power and Energy Private Limited is yet to commence business operations and currently has no turnover. The acquisition was made entirely through cash consideration, with Hariom Pipe subscribing to 100% of the equity at face value.

The company stated that the formation of this subsidiary reflects its intention to leverage growth opportunities in India’s expanding clean energy sector. With increasing emphasis on environmental sustainability and the government’s focus on renewable energy projects, the move is expected to open new revenue streams and support the company’s broader ESG goals.

No regulatory approvals were required for the incorporation of the subsidiary, and the board confirmed that the transaction was conducted at arm’s length.

This development signals Hariom Pipe’s readiness to diversify and invest in future-ready sectors while continuing to maintain its dominance in the core manufacturing domain.
