Greaves Cotton Ltd. reported its Q2 FY25 financial results, showing a significant year-on-year (YoY) drop in profit and a slight decline in revenue. The company recorded a loss of ₹14.33 crore for the quarter ending September 30, 2024, representing a 98% decrease compared to a loss of ₹14.49 crore in the same period last year.
On a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) basis, Greaves Cotton’s revenue from operations grew by 10% to ₹705.31 crore, up from ₹639.70 crore in the previous quarter. However, compared to the same period last year, revenue declined by 3% from ₹726.69 crore.
For the six months ending September 30, 2024, the company achieved a cumulative revenue of ₹1,345.01 crore, a slight increase from ₹1,295.28 crore in the same period the previous year. However, Greaves Cotton reported a half-year loss of ₹14.49 crore, compared to a loss of ₹399.52 crore during the same period in the previous year.
The results highlight a challenging period for Greaves Cotton, with efforts needed to manage profitability amid fluctuating revenues.
