Graphite India Limited reported a consolidated net profit of ₹49 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2025 (Q4 FY25), marking a 206% year-on-year jump from ₹16 crore in Q4 FY24. The strong quarterly rebound was driven by lower input costs and improved operational efficiency, despite a dip in revenue.
Total income for Q4 FY25 stood at ₹723 crore, down from ₹792 crore in the same period last year. Revenue from operations came in at ₹666 crore, compared to ₹720 crore in Q4 FY24.
Total expenses declined to ₹654 crore from ₹755 crore YoY, with notable reductions in power, fuel, and material costs contributing to improved margins.
However, on a full-year basis, net profit for FY25 declined 43% to ₹458 crore, compared to ₹805 crore in FY24. Revenue from operations also dropped to ₹2,560 crore in FY25 from ₹2,950 crore the previous year. Total income stood at ₹2,998 crore, down from ₹3,254 crore in FY24.
The annual performance reflected muted demand in the graphite electrode business, while the sharp Q4 recovery indicates early signs of operational turnaround.
