Fortis Healthcare Limited has informed the stock exchanges that it has received an ex-parte injunction order dated March 20, 2025, in connection with the proposed acquisition of Shrimann Superspecialty Hospital, Jalandhar. The order was received by the company on March 20 at 3:57 PM.
The development is related to a dispute between Cancer Treatment Services Hyderabad Private Limited (CTSH) and Shrimann Hospital concerning alleged outstanding dues under a service agreement. The company noted that the amounts in question are not considered material.
Fortis clarified that the injunction restrains the consummation of the sale of Shrimann Hospital. The company itself is not a party to the ongoing litigation. It has been informed that the respondents—Shrimann Hospital and its partners—are taking necessary steps toward an amicable resolution with CTSH and seeking vacation of the injunction order.
This disclosure follows Fortis Healthcare’s earlier announcement on February 14, 2025, about the execution of definitive agreements by its wholly owned subsidiary, Fortis Hospotel Limited, for acquiring Shrimann Superspecialty Hospital.
