Eternal Limited, formerly known as Zomato Limited, has disclosed that it has received a Goods and Services Tax (GST) demand order from the Deputy Commissioner (State Tax), State Special Circle-I, Andhra Pradesh, relating to the assessment period of April 2022 to March 2023.
According to the filing, the tax authority has raised a GST demand of Rs 8.29 crore, along with interest of Rs 4.64 crore and a penalty of Rs 82.94 lakh, taking the total demand to over Rs 13.7 crore. The order was received by the company on December 4, 2025, at 4:22 PM.
The adjudication order has been issued under Section 73 of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, and the Andhra Pradesh GST Act, 2017, citing short payment of output tax along with applicable interest and penalty.
Eternal Limited stated that it believes it has a “strong case on merits” and will be filing an appeal against the order before the appropriate authority. The company also said it does not expect any financial impact, given the merits of its position.
The disclosure has been made under Regulation 30 of SEBI’s Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (LODR).
