Engineers India Limited (EIL) has been awarded a significant contract by Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) for EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Management) services. The project involves the development of a 360 KTPA Polypropylene Unit (PPU) at Numaligarh Refinery, with an estimated contract value of ₹252.95 crore plus GST.
EIL received the work order on March 13, 2025. However, contractual clarifications from NRL were finalized on March 17, 2025. The project, expected to span 36 months, will strengthen EIL’s position as a leading engineering consultancy firm in India’s petrochemical sector.
In the exchange filing, he company shared, “Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) has awarded the job for EPCM Services for 360 KTPA Polypropylene Unit (PPU) Project at Numaligarh Refinery to Engineers India Limited (EIL). Total estimated award value is approx. Rs. 252.95 Crores plus GST.”
Numaligarh Refinery Limited, the awarding entity, is executing this domestic project as part of its expansion initiatives. While EIL holds a minority stake in NRL, the contract does not fall under related-party transactions. Due to confidentiality agreements, specific terms and conditions remain undisclosed.
