EaseMyTrip, one of India’s top online travel platforms, has recently informed exchanges that the company signed a Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC) with the Sabah Tourism Board (STB) to enhance the appeal of Sabah among Indian travelers. The partnership was formalized on February 3, 2025, at EaseMyTrip’s office in New Delhi, with key representatives from both organizations attending the signing ceremony.
This collaboration aims to increase inbound tourism to Sabah by leveraging EaseMyTrip’s expertise, digital reach, and extensive customer base. The partnership will focus on promoting Sabah’s unique attractions, including its cultural heritage, adventure tourism, pristine landscapes, and luxury offerings. A dedicated Sabah page will be created on EaseMyTrip’s Malaysia microsite, featuring travel itineraries, must-visit locations, and helpful travel information. Additionally, engaging content such as destination blogs, immersive videos, and social media campaigns will showcase Sabah’s beauty.
EaseMyTrip and STB will jointly fund digital marketing campaigns targeting Indian travelers. Special emphasis will be placed on expanding outreach across India, including Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. The strategic alliance will also focus on niche experiences such as Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE), corporate retreats, international conferences, destination weddings, and wellness tourism in Sabah’s serene environments.
With a growing number of outbound travelers from India, the collaboration will tailor marketing campaigns to various demographics, including senior citizens, millennials, solo travelers, corporate groups, and students. These efforts are designed to ensure broader accessibility and appeal to diverse traveler needs.
