EaseMyTrip announced today, January 1, 2025, that Rikant Pittie has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company, effective immediately. This decision was finalized during the Board of Directors meeting held earlier in the day. Rikant Pittie, who previously served as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the company, will also be designated as a Key Managerial Personnel under the Companies Act, 2013, and SEBI regulations.
Rikant Pittie brings over 15 years of experience in the travel, tourism, HR, and technology sectors. A graduate from Kurukshetra University, he has been recognized with numerous accolades, including being featured in Fortune India’s “40 under 40” list and receiving the “Entrepreneur of the Year” award in the travel category. Pittie is also a member of the Promoter Group of EaseMyTrip and is the brother of Nishant Pitti, who stepped down as CEO citing personal reasons.
Nishant Pitti’s resignation, effective from January 1, 2025, marks the end of his tenure as CEO. The board expressed gratitude for his contributions to the company and accepted his resignation during the meeting.
EaseMyTrip’s board meeting today also noted that the detailed changes will be available on the company’s investor relations portal. The board meeting commenced at 10:00 AM and concluded at 10:20 AM.
