The DBL-STL Consortium has been declared the Lowest Bidder (L1) by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) for the prestigious Bharat Net Phase – III Broadband Connectivity Project. This project, funded by the Universal Service Obligation Fund (USOF), is valued at INR 1,625.36 Crores (inclusive of GST) and aims to provide both Middle Mile and Last Mile connectivity in the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh regions.
Under this project, DBL will be responsible for 70.23% of the execution. The contract follows the Design, Build, Operate, and Maintain (DBOM) model for the development, degradation and operation of the Bharat Net network. The construction phase is set to last three years, followed by a ten-year maintenance period.
This project is a significant step towards enhancing broadband connectivity in underserved areas, contributing to the digital transformation of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
