
Coromandel International has announced an investment of ₹800 crore, focusing on the enhancement of its granulation capacity and the establishment of a new Multi-Product Plant (MPP) for pesticide production.
The granulation facility at Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, will see a capacity boost of 7.5 lakh tons per annum, taking the total capacity of the site to 30 lakh tons. Additionally, the company is setting up a state-of-the-art MPP at Ankleshwar, Gujarat, to manufacture crop protection chemicals, aligning with the company’s ambitions to strengthen its foothold in the global agrochemical market.
The company’s total income for Q2 FY25 stood at ₹7,498 crore, compared to ₹7,033 crore in the same period last year, showing a year-on-year (YoY) growth. Profit after tax (PAT) for the quarter amounted to ₹659 crore, as compared to ₹755 crore in Q2 FY24. For the first half of FY25, total income was ₹12,281 crore, with a PAT of ₹968 crore. This contrasts with the ₹12,771 crore total income and ₹1,249 crore PAT recorded in the same period last year.
