Container Corporation of India Ltd (CONCOR), a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways, has informed the stock exchanges that its Board of Directors will meet on May 22, 2025, to consider various business matters, including a potential bonus share issue. The announcement was made through an exchange filing dated May 19, 2025.
The filing stated that in continuation of its earlier communication dated April 24, 2025, and in line with SEBI’s listing regulations, the board will “inter-alia consider the proposal for issue of bonus shares, if any, to the shareholders,” subject to requisite approvals.
If approved, the bonus issue will be aimed at rewarding shareholders and enhancing liquidity in the stock. Bonus shares are issued by companies to existing shareholders in a specific ratio, without any additional cost, by capitalizing a part of the company’s reserves.
Investors and analysts will be closely watching the outcome of the board meeting, which may provide a significant boost to the stock sentiment ahead of the company’s Q4 FY25 earnings release.
The company, which operates in the multimodal logistics space, has been a key player in India’s freight and containerized logistics ecosystem. Its performance and shareholder-friendly moves such as potential bonus issues remain of keen interest to investors.
