Coal India Limited (CIL), has reported a marginal yet positive increase in its coal production for December 2024. The company’s provisional coal production for the month stood at 72.4 million tonnes (MT), a 0.7% rise compared to 71.9 MT in December 2023. This marks a consistent effort by the company to meet the growing demand for coal both in the domestic and international markets.
Along with the rise in production, Coal India has also seen a growth in coal offtake. The company’s December provisional coal offtake reached 68.6 MT, reflecting a 2.4% increase over the 67 MT recorded during the same month last year.

In the meantime, Coal India shares opened at ₹383.55 today, reaching a high of ₹387.40 and a low of ₹382.50. The stock remains close to its 52-week low of ₹368.00, significantly below its 52-week high of ₹543.55.
