Bharti Airtel recently informed exchanges that it has awarded Ericsson a multi-year, multi-billion-dollar contract extension to deploy 4G and 5G Radio Access Network (RAN) solutions. This partnership will enable Airtel to enhance network capacity and provide wider coverage, ensuring an improved customer experience.
As part of the agreement, Ericsson will deploy centralized RAN and Open RAN-ready solutions to support Airtel’s network transformation. Additionally, Ericsson will upgrade its existing 4G radios with advanced software, further optimizing network performance.
