Alkem Laboratories Ltd. has announced the sale of its Pithampur manufacturing facility to Rubicon Research Ltd. for INR 149 crores.
This transaction is being carried out on a slump sale basis, as per the Business Transfer Agreement signed on January 6, 2025. The facility, located at Plot No. A-17, Phase II, Special Economic Zone, Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh, includes all rights, assets, liabilities, and the leasehold land of the unit.
The deal, expected to complete by June 5, 2025, is part of Alkem’s ongoing strategy to optimize its manufacturing operations. The consideration received from the sale is subject to changes in Net Current Assets.
Rubicon Research Ltd., a public limited company, is not related to Alkem’s promoter group, and the sale does not fall under related party transactions. The move is aimed at enhancing Alkem’s business network and focusing on core manufacturing capabilities.
In the meantime, Alkem Laboratories shares opened at ₹5,527.15, with a high of ₹5,669.90 and a low of ₹5,517.50 today. The stock’s 52-week high is ₹6,439.90, while the 52-week low stands at ₹4,407.05.
