Ahead of the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, Bharti Airtel has implemented extensive measures to enhance network coverage and connectivity for millions of pilgrims and devotees. The company has:
- Installed 287 new network sites.
- Optimized over 340 existing sites.
- Laid an additional 74 kilometers of fiber across Prayagraj.
- Deployed 78 active Cell on Wheels (COWs) within the Kumbh Mela premises.
To address potential emergencies, Airtel has set up three war rooms in Jhusi, Arail, and Sangam areas, supported by a dedicated disaster management team equipped with critical resources, including generators and technical equipment. Additionally, in collaboration with Prayagraj Traffic Police, Airtel has established over 780 kiosks at venue entry and exit points to manage crowds and ensure safety.
This initiative underscores Airtel’s commitment to providing seamless connectivity and supporting large-scale events with advanced infrastructure.
