Adani Group’s Ambuja Cements crosses 100 MTPA capacity milestone – Check Q4 FY25 Results

Ambuja Cements has achieved a significant milestone in its expansion journey by surpassing 100 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) in cement production capacity. This landmark was reached through the successful commissioning of a 2.4 MTPA brownfield expansion of its grinding unit in Farakka, West Bengal, along with debottlenecking of 0.5 MTPA across various plants.

The company’s board highlighted this as a historic achievement, positioning Ambuja among the top cement manufacturers in India and strengthening its readiness to meet rising infrastructure demand across the country.

Alongside this operational milestone, Ambuja Cements reported a strong performance for the quarter ended March 31, 2025 (Q4 FY25), with net profit rising 74.5% year-on-year to Rs 928.88 crore, compared to Rs 532.29 crore in Q4 FY24.

Revenue from operations grew to Rs 5,670.09 crore, up from Rs 4,763.58 crore a year ago. Total income stood at Rs 6,123.43 crore, as against Rs 4,957.14 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

The company’s EBITDA for Q4 FY25 came in at Rs 1,038 crore, up from Rs 798 crore in Q4 FY24. The EBITDA margin improved to 18.31% from 16.69%, reflecting better cost controls and operational efficiency.

Total expenses rose to Rs 4,926.45 crore from Rs 4,260.32 crore, mainly due to increased freight, fuel, and depreciation costs.

Though net profit declined sequentially from Rs 1,758.03 crore in Q3 FY25, Ambuja Cements continues to demonstrate a solid YoY growth trajectory and remains on track with its long-term strategic expansion goals.
