The 250 MW solar power project was officially commissioned on March 21, 2025, following the necessary regulatory approvals. The operational clearance was received at 11:56 AM on March 20, 2025. The project is a part of AGEL’s ongoing efforts to expand its clean energy footprint and contribute to India’s ambitious renewable energy targets.

With this latest development, Adani Green Energy’s total operational renewable energy capacity now stands at 12,841.1 MW, making it one of the largest green energy producers in the country. The company is actively working towards its goal of achieving 45 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.

Impact and Contribution to India’s Renewable Energy Goals

This project is a significant step in India’s transition towards clean energy, helping reduce reliance on fossil fuels while contributing to the country’s net-zero emissions goal by 2070. The new facility will generate enough electricity to power thousands of households while reducing carbon emissions by millions of tonnes annually.

Rajasthan, with its high solar potential, remains a key location for Adani Green’s expansion plans. The state’s vast barren land and high solar irradiance make it an ideal hub for large-scale solar power projects.

AGEL’s Growing Renewable Portfolio

AGEL has been rapidly expanding its renewable energy capacity and has one of the largest renewable energy portfolios in India. The company operates a mix of solar, wind, and hybrid renewable projects across multiple states. It continues to secure power purchase agreements (PPAs) with state and central agencies, ensuring steady growth in its renewable business.

AGEL’s latest commissioning aligns with the Indian government’s push for clean energy, positioning the company at the forefront of the renewable energy revolution.
