Bajel Projects Limited, a prominent entity in India’s Power EPC sector and part of the Bajaj Group, has entered into a collaboration agreement with the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF) and AnantGrid Private Limited. The agreement aims to leverage the strengths of each partner to enhance India’s power transmission infrastructure.
The collaboration comes as India targets 500GW of renewable energy by 2030, necessitating robust transmission infrastructure. The agreement will focus on opportunities in the power transmission sector, driven by the Indian government’s emphasis on renewable energy integration, grid modernisation, and private sector involvement. The partnership will combine NIIF’s investment and asset management capabilities, AnantGrid’s project management skills, and Bajel’s engineering expertise to deliver high-quality, cost-efficient power transmission projects.
Rajesh Ganesh, MD & CEO of Bajel Projects, highlighted the collaboration’s potential to contribute significantly to India’s power transmission growth, while Bimal Dayal, CEO of AnantGrid, emphasised the importance of reliable transmission assets in India’s energy transition. Avener Capital served as the financial advisor for this collaboration.
