
Anant Maheshwari, president of Microsoft India, resigned from his position and announced on July 7 that he would depart the company to pursue other interests.
“We can vouch for Anant’s decision to quit Microsoft in order to pursue a position outside the business. We would like to express our gratitude to Anant for all of his contributions to our business and Indian culture, and we wish him luck in all of his future endeavours, a corporate representative told ET. Irina Ghose, the company’s COO, has been appointed managing director of India by the company, and MD Sashi Sreedharan has been elevated to a more senior position.
Puneet Chandok, a former AWS India director, could join Microsoft India, the report claims. Additionally, Microsoft India’s former director of the public sector, Navtej Bal, has been appointed to chief operating officer. The public sector enterprise has promoted Venkat Krishnan to executive director. Maheshwari obtained his Master of Science in Economics from Birla Institute of Technology in 1996. He also completed his MBA from Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad in 1998.
In addition to managing engagements for McKinsey & Company, he served as President of Honeywell India. Having joined Microsoft in 2016, Anant Maheshwari. 2016 saw his entrance into Microsoft.
