Ambulance in minutes! Zenso launches fleet of 25,000 ambulances over 450 cities

Zenzo has introduced a fleet of 25,000 ambulances across 450+ cities, aiming to deliver rapid medical assistance, similar to cab services on aggregator platforms. In an interview with NDTV Profit, Shweta Mangal, Zenzo’s co-founder and CEO, emphasized the company’s mission to make ambulance services as accessible as everyday essentials like coffee or clothing.

The fleet includes both basic and advanced cardiac ambulances, with some equipped with 5G technology. Zenzo plans to extend this advanced connectivity to its entire fleet. Customers can access these services through a centralized helpline number: 1800 102 1298.

Zenzo offers transparent and affordable pricing nationwide. For cardiac ambulances, the charge is Rs 2,500 for the first 5 km, with an additional Rs 100 per km beyond that. For basic ambulances, the cost is Rs 1,500 for the first 5 km, with Rs 50 per km thereafter. These competitive rates make Zenzo a preferred choice for emergency medical transport.

The company is collaborating with insurance providers to offer cashless services. While the cashless feature is still under implementation, customers can currently claim reimbursement for ambulance charges based on their insurance coverage.

In a unique initiative, Zenzo has partnered with Zomato to train delivery partners in CPR and basic emergency care. The company is also in talks with other aggregator platforms to provide similar training to their staff, further strengthening emergency response systems.
