Amazon is set to introduce a new segment called cloud gaming just like Google. Amazon announced that its cloud-based game streaming service is called Luna and that of Google is called Google Stadia. Amazon has introduced an introductory price of $5.99 per month while Google is charging $9.99 per month. Luna will be available on Fire TV, PC, Mac, and on iPhone and iPad.
Amazon recommends having a fast and reliable internet connection. A minimum internet speed of 10 Mbps for full HD games will be necessary to play. Luna supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. Amazon is targetting to offer 50 gaming titles when the platform is available to all. Amazon will launch a Luna controller but that is not the only controller that can be used. Even Xbox One controller, Sony’s DualShock 4, and a mouse and keyboard will be compatible with it.
Games available during the early access will be Resident Evil 7, Control, A Plague Tale: Innocence, The Surge 2, The Impossible Liar, Iconoclasts, GRID and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. Amazon Luna will be closely related and linked with other Amazon gaming services. Twitch streams for games will show directly in Luna or when players are on Twitch, they will get the option to instantly start playing games, as reported by Mint.
