Airtel teams up with Blinkit to deliver SIM cards in just 10 minutes across 16 cities

In a first-of-its-kind initiative in the Indian telecom sector, Bharti Airtel has announced a strategic partnership with quick commerce platform Blinkit to deliver SIM cards to customers’ doorsteps within just 10 minutes. This service, launched on April 15, 2025, is currently live across 16 Indian cities and aims to simplify and fast-track mobile network onboarding.

As per the press release, customers can now order a SIM card — whether prepaid, postpaid, or ported via MNP — through Blinkit and get it delivered in minutes for a nominal fee of ₹49. Activation is seamless through Aadhaar-based eKYC, with the entire process designed to be completed from the comfort of home.

The service is currently operational in Delhi, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Sonipat, Ahmedabad, Surat, Chennai, Bhopal, Indore, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Lucknow, Jaipur, Kolkata, and Hyderabad. Airtel plans to expand this service to more cities in the near future.
