According to a statement released on Thursday, American Airlines and IndiGo have entered into a codeshare arrangement. That will allow the former to sell seats on the latter’s flights operating on the Delhi-Bengaluru and Delhi-Mumbai routes.
IndiGo & American Airlines enter Codeshare Agreement
The deal would see American Airlines‘ code placed on 29 IndiGo domestic routes in India. Providing a convenient choice for clients coming on American Airlines‘ new Bengaluru (BLR) and Delhi (DEL) flights to India. The codeshare is slated to begin in October, when American opens new service between New York (JFK) and DEL on Oct. 31 and Seattle (SEA) and BLR on Jan. 4, 2022, pending approval from the US and Indian governments.
“We’re eager to add IndiGo as our trusted partner in India”. Said Vasu Raja, American’s Chief Revenue Officer. “Whether our customers are traveling for business or pleasure.
