China’s biggest airshow event ‘China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition’ was cancelled by its organiser due to the COVID-19 pandemic on Wednesday.

China’s biggest airshow event ‘China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition’ was cancelled by its organiser due to the COVID-19 pandemic on Wednesday. The show was supposed to kick-off in November in the southern city of Zhuhai.

The exhibition which is a biennial affair usually attracts key suppliers, such as Airbus SE (AIR.PA), Boeing Co (BA.N) and Commercial Aircraft Corp of China will be now conducted in 2022.

This is followed by the cancellation of this year’s largest aerospace expo, Britain’s Farnborough Airshow, because of travel curbs and an industry downturn resulting from the Coronavirus pandemic.
