Toyota reports two-fold increase in sales of July, says sign of positive momentum

The company had expected that. However, some parts of India were still under restrictions but when the restrictions would be eased, it would further aid the demand as well as the sales.

On July 31, Toyota Kirloskar Motor had reported a two-fold increase in domestic sales at 14,105 units in July.

In July 2020, the TKM had dispatched over 5,386 units to their dealership. The automaker is the seller of models like Fortuner, Innova, and Crysta.

In July, Toyota’s wholesales were up by 49 per cent as compared to the month of June in 2021. In June 2021, the automaker had dispatched a total of 8,801 units.

The surge in demand was recognized by the automaker but could not be attributed to pent-up demand alone, but there was also a fact that the positive momentum in the market was a clear sign.

The company had expected that. However, some parts of India were still under restrictions but when the restrictions would be eased, it would further aid the demand as well as the sales.

The automaker had said that their aim at the moment was to cater to the pending orders of the customers and also to focus on the vaccination of employees, their families, and also of the dealers and the supplier staff. They would be focusing on vaccination to minimize the risk of infections in the future.
