Maruti Suzuki to set up manufacturing plant in Haryana

Maruti Suzuki to  invest over Rs 11,000 crore in the first phase. The company had in discussion with the Haryana state government for investment in a proposed new manufacturing site for its proposed capacity expansion.

Moreover, for its proposed capacity expansion. The legal process of allotment of an 800 acres site at IMT Kharkhoda in District Sonipat was completed today.

The plant which was proposed will produce its first car by 2025. However, Maruti Suzuki has said it will give a boost to employment opportunities in the state .

“The said location will have space for capacity to include more manufacturing plants. That the company could think of an expansion”. Thus, Maruti Suzuki said in an exchange filing on Friday.

In the current capacity proposed, company can manufacture over 2 million units per annum. Lest, through its two plants at Manesar in Haryana and Gurgaon. Which have a combined manufacturing capacity of 1,580,000 units.

Carmakers across the globe have chosen to hike prices in a bid to deal with the shortage of raw material. As well as shipping costs, which are reducing  profit margins at companies. Who are looking to recover from the pandemic.

This is a great step by the manufacturing company Maruti Suzuki. Hence, the state government taking into account the current job markets and inflation which have ordeal relations.
