His support for the $500 million Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Nepal compact grant in February 2022, despite China\u2019s objections, improved Nepal-US relations significantly. Prachanda\u2019s alignment with the pro-India and pro-US Nepali Congress in the November 2022 election played a pivotal role in endorsing the MCC. Nepal also sided with the US in condemning Russia\u2019s war against Ukraine in the UN.
