The index opened at <strong>38,979.21 JPY<\/strong> and fluctuated between <strong>38,682.18 JPY and 39,118.95 JPY<\/strong> during the session.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the modest daily gain, the benchmark index remains down <strong>1.20% over the past five days<\/strong> and has lost <strong>2.79% year-to-date<\/strong>.
