The United States has denied any involvement or prior knowledge of a series of pager explosions across Lebanon that left at least nine people dead and 2,750 others injured. \u201cI can tell you that the U.S. was not involved in it, the U.S. was not aware of this incident in advance and, at this point, we\u2019re gathering information,\u201d said State Department spokesman Matthew Miller during a press briefing. The explosions primarily targeted pagers and other communication devices, many of which reportedly belonged to Hezbollah members or workers within the group\u2019s various institutions.
