Zhao, chairman of the National People\u2019s Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, emphasized that the maintenance and development of friendly and cooperative China-Japan relations align with the fundamental interests of both peoples. He noted that such cooperation is vital for peace, stability, and prosperity on both a regional and global scale.<\/p>\n
During the discussions, Zhao highlighted China\u2019s readiness to work with Japan in implementing the crucial consensus reached by the leaders of both countries. He stressed the importance of abiding by the principles and agreements established in the four political documents that define China-Japan relations. Zhao expressed China\u2019s readiness to deepen exchanges and cooperation with Japan in various fields, manage and handle sensitive issues properly, foster positive public opinion and social atmosphere, and promote the steady development of bilateral relations.<\/p>\n
Zhao conveyed the NPC\u2019s willingness to maintain friendly exchanges with the Japanese Parliament and to strengthen interactions at all legislative levels. He extended an invitation to Japanese lawmakers to visit China and gain a deeper understanding of the country.<\/p>\n
Kaieda reciprocated these sentiments, expressing the Japanese House of Representatives\u2019 eagerness to enhance exchanges with China\u2019s NPC.
