\u201cThe current situation in the Gaza Strip is a direct result of the failure of the international community to hold Israel accountable for its actions,\u201d Albanese said. \u201cThe continued blockade, combined with repeated military attacks, has turned Gaza into an open-air prison where the civilian population is collectively punished.\u201d<\/p>\n
The report comes at a time of the most serious violence in the Gaza Strip in recent years. In recent months, Israel\u2019s intensified airstrikes have resulted in significant casualties, including many women and children. The destruction of infrastructure, including hospitals, schools and homes, has already worsened the humanitarian situation and left thousands without necessities.<\/p>\n
Albanians demand immediate international action to resolve the crisis and the implementation of measures to ensure accountability for the violations committed.
