Kejriwal\u2019s arrest on May 6 in connection with alleged irregularities in the construction of classrooms had sparked widespread protests from AAP supporters and criticism from opposition parties accusing the BJP-led central government of pursuing a vendetta. His subsequent judicial custody had further intensified the political turmoil surrounding the case.<\/p>\n
The Supreme Court\u2019s decision to grant interim bail to Kejriwal was celebrated by AAP workers, who had been demanding his release. However, legal experts cautioned that the court\u2019s order was not a clean chit, and Kejriwal would still need to face trial in the case.<\/p>\n
